The area around the nose gear needs to be sealed from the cabin. However, access is required to install and maintain the nose gear.

This shows the removable panel and gasket to access the nose gear mounting bolts.

Here is the actual part. The nose gear can be seen in the background along with the original fiberglass surround. This will be removed for the new molded part.

The CNC aluminum panel is being fitted to the molded closeout. The mold is behind the part.

The closeout is fiberglassed into the plane. Removable peel ply fabric is used on top of the layup. This will be removed after it is cured. This leaves a nice surface which will not need to be sanded.

The closeout is shown with the peel ply removed.
